Patricia Doherty, EdD., helps people with anxiety and depression using a variety of approaches, including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, hypnosis, and psychodynamic work. She has dedicated her professional career to running psychotherapy groups, and serving as a principle contributor to the growth of the American Group Psychotherapy Association and the Northeastern Society of Group Psychotherapy.

She is all about group work. “Groups are life-giving,” she says; she contends that we are born into groups and those primary ones influence us throughout our lives.
