Paul Leslie, PhD., is a therapist, educator, and international trainer who has extensive experience in creative, resource-directed approaches to working with clients. He is also the author of eight books and defines and discusses topics not always viewed as part of traditional psychotherapy, such as the art of a magical session and the presence of the paranormal in psychotherapy. His most recent book is Shadows in the Session: The Presence of the Anomalous in Psychotherapy.

He says that “most of psychotherapy is just boring… why?” Fed up with the medical model, he now tries to “create a magical experience for clients.” He originally studied to become a history teacher, but was sidetracked by his first wife, who was studying psychotherapy.
